Our Puppies
From time to time, we have dachshund pups available to good homes.

About Our Puppies:
We only breed wire-haired and smooth-haired dachshunds. Mainly miniatures (up to 11lbs), but we do get some oversized minis. Colors we have are red, black & tan, and wildboar.
Enrichment & Training:
We utilize the following enrichment & socialization methods: Simplified Puppy Culture Protocol, Puppy Temperament Evaluation, Body Handling (feet, ears, tail, etc), Daily interactions with New and Novel Items, Situations to Instill Confidence, Adventure Walks, Introduction to Rabbits & Rats, Weekly Nail Trims, Early Neurological Stimulation (days 3-16), Early Scent Introduction (days 3-16), Various Surfaces, Noise Desensitized, Grooming Desensitization, Strangers, Socialized with Children, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Interactions with Puppies of Other Breeds, Socialized with Elderly, Sound Stimulation, Field Trips, Barrier Challenge, Interaction with Visitors, and Car Rides.
We do the following training: Some Limited Lead Training, Doggy Door Training, Potty Training, Crate Training, Leash Walking, Clicker Training, Recall Training, Stacking, Impulse Control, and Litter Box Training.
Health:
Although we have completed the CAVIDS Nomograph on our dams for our own information. Because of a litter with PARVO in 2024, all puppies are vaccinated according to a standard protocol starting at 3 weeks (any vaccines starting at 8 weeks are given by our vet; otherwise, we administer them at home). Puppies are dewormed starting at 2 weeks old, then every 2-3 weeks until they go home.
Parent Dog Health Testing:
We perform OFA cardiac, patellar, and eye exams on all of our dogs, as recommended by the Dachshund Club of America. All our adults have been tested for Lafora, and they are clear by percentage. All our dogs and puppies have been tested with EmbarkVet or AKC DNA+Health. For more information about the health tests for each dog, go to our profile on GoodDog.
