Our Dachshunds are our pets first & foremost. They live in the house with us & sleep in our beds. We have had both standard & miniature wirehaired and smooth-haired dachshunds for almost 15 years. We infrequently breed, but when we do, we breed for excellent conformation, hunting instinct, health, & personality.
